About Local OCR

Local OCR is a static site for browser-only image-to-text workflows. It is designed for people who want to extract text without sending an image to an application server.

The page compresses a selected image in Canvas, loads Paddle OCR and its public model files in the browser, and runs recognition on the device. No image upload endpoint is part of this site. If you choose to save a result, the text and small processing metadata are stored in your browser's localStorage.
